‘Improving Sleep’

A talk by certified nutritional therapist Nick Rapley (BANT CNHC)

Do you find it hard to fall asleep? Or maybe you wake up in the middle of the night or the early hours? And then can’t get back to sleep? Or you are simply not tired enough at bedtime to contemplate even going to bed? feeling too wired?

Sleep is often pushed to the end of our ‘to do’ list – we have so many other important things to get done…but having enough sleep is ESSENTIAL for numerous biological functions; mental, physical and emotional, which in the long term, enables us to keep working through our ‘to do’ lists! Certified nutritional therapist Nicky Rapley will be sharing her top nutritional and lifestyle tips on improving your sleep.  By doing so you’ll increase your energy, mood, ability to concentrate and achieve the things you want to do…as well as protecting yourself from the risk of developing future mental diseases such as Alzheimer’s.  Yes that’s right – sleep is fundamental in preventing mental decline in later years.  So with Alzheimer’s on the increase don’t you think it’s important to know how to support your mental health?

Getting decent sleep is as important as making healthy food choices. By decent I mean QUALITY as well as QUANTITY. So come and join Nicky and hear how you can improve your sleep and so improve your health not just for today…but for your future.

Yoga and Wellbeing Term @ Miles and Green
Dec 4 @ 9:30 am – 10:45 am

Teacher – Josie Harrington

 3 week Term | Block Booking £30

We have 2 ‘drop-in’ spaces available in each class | £12 per session | Click HERE to book a drop-in space

Modern living is often busy, stressful and pressured; yoga can be a tonic for this and provide a space to connect with a deeper sense of ease and calm. Simply moving breath and body together can release tension and energy, potentially improving mood, sleep, energy levels as well as reducing worry and irritability.
This class will explore a nourishing and mindful approach to yoga, combining postures, mindful movement, pranayama (breathing exercises) and relaxation practices. Building strength and flexibility, at the same time supporting your wellbeing.
There is an emphasis on slowing down and connecting with the breath and body. Plenty of time is given to explore postures and find that important balance of effort and ease. Leave feeling rejuvenated with a deeper sense of calm and ease.
Josie is passionate about making classes accessible for anyone who has an interest in yoga. This is a relaxed and fun class, suitable for all levels.
Being able to touch your toes is not necessary!
